You can use this form to apply to become a School of Graduate Studies Approved Proofreader.

If you are approved by the School of Graduate Studies, your name and contact details will be added to the List of Approved Proofreaders. Eligible doctoral candidates will be able to engage your services using their postgraduate research student support (PReSS) fund.

Supporting information

We review each application on a case-by-case basis and our considerations include (but are not limited to) the following criteria:

Produces high quality work for satisfied clients.
Has significant professional experience and is currently active in the field.
Understands and abides by Third Party Editing and Proofreading of Theses and Dissertations Guidelines.

We will ask you to support your application by supplying the following:

Two client testimonials for work completed within the past six months including client contact details.
Evidence that you are an experienced and active professional in the field (a professional website is expected; a well-endorsed professional proofreading/editing LinkedIn profile may be accepted).
Any other relevant supporting evidence.

Applications are not automatically approved. We reserve the right to reject any application and to remove approved proofreaders from our list at any time. If you have any questions, please contact sgs-experience@auckland.ac.nz using the subject heading 'Approved Proofreader registration'.
