A GPA Variation allows the Selection Committee to consider whether courses affected by exceptional circumstances should be excluded from your Law GPA calculation and whether eligible courses completed in the previous academic year should be used instead.
Students applying under the GPA Variation category for UTAS must demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Selection Committee that:
- their best most recent academic results do not accurately reflect their academic ability due to exceptional, unforeseen circumstances beyond their control, independently verified by appropriate evidence; and
- the courses they have requested be excluded from their Law GPA were materially affected by those circumstances.
Please note
A GPA Variation does not exempt you from the minimum academic requirements for admission to LLB Part II.
