Application to withdraw from a University Accommodation Residential Agreement

Introduction

This application is for the use of current UoA Students residing in University of Auckland owned/operated accommodation.

Please complete before submitting form:

Inform the Resident Manager/Coordinator of the property in which you reside of your intention to apply for withdrawal prior to the completion of your residential agreement.
Discuss with the Resident Manager/Coordinator possible remedies to overcome your situation.
Review your contractual obligations.
Complete this application to withdraw, and this will then be sent to your Resident Manager/Coordinator
Attach supporting documentation (your application cannot be considered if it is not supported by relevant supporting documentation).
Your application will be reviewed by your Resident Manager. They will make a recommendation to the Head of Operations - Accommodation or Associate Director, Campus Life
Once a decision has been made, if you do not agree you will have 5 business days to appeal. Accommodation staff will inform you of how this process works when you receive your withdrawal decision.

What is your enrolment status?

Remaining at the University of Auckland but wish to withdraw from residential contract

Graduating early from a Masters or Doctorate and therefore no longer eligible to live in University Accommodation

Leaving the University of Auckland and therefore must withdraw from residential contract

Please stipulate the reasons for your request to withdraw from University accommodation prior to the expiry of your residential agreement.

Academic: If you are applying to withdraw on academic grounds, please provide supporting documentation confirming this, such as confirmation from your Faculty that you are no longer going to be a student.

Financial: If you are applying to withdraw on financial grounds, a budget breakdown is required.

Medical: If you are applying to withdraw for medical reasons, attach supporting medical documentation.

Personal/Compassion: If you are applying to withdraw on compassionate grounds, attach supporting documentation.
